Terms and Conditions Of Buying a ZX81 Kit

The terms and conditions laid out here are to make sure people understand what they are buying , that they are not buying a television from a shop , or car from a dealer , but , an as new , but 20+ year old vintage computer , and we of course do not wish to put you off buying one , but wish to point out all details so you are clear on all purchasing conditions.

These are our terms and conditions of buying a ZX81 kit from us , please read them carefully as you will be asked to confirm that you have read , understood and agree with them before buying one from us , we will not sell you one unless you state you agree with these terms and condition.

We have a limited quantity of brand new (secondhand) Sinclair ZX81 kits and accessories , which were built in the UK over 20 years ago , shipped to the USA in bulk to sell to the South American market but were never sold. They have been in dry clean storage for that time , we have shipped a limited supply of them back to the UK for our own collection and we are happy to sell on some of these rare collectable vintage computers to you. We also sell on some of our secondhand ZX81 software and hardware , it is clearly stated which items are new or , as new unused , and which are secondhand.

You must be aware that if you choose to build the kit we do not provide a building service for you , and that whilst we provide full instructions for building with the kit and also extensive online instructions and resources on this site we cannot be held responsible for any damage you do to the kit , yourself or property, or other people, if you choose to build the kit , also if you damage a part or whole of the kit in building it , we cannot be held responsible for this.

The kits come as per the descriptions and photos on this site , and as a whole are in better condition than most , or many things you would buy boxed from a shop today , but small blemishes do occur due to the age of the items , but in general the items are 98-100% as new , but to allow for the odd blemish we state this condition here.

As far as we are aware there is a minimal component failure percentage on these kits , certainty no more than would have been normal had you bought them from the shop 20+ years ago , and should you find an electronic component fails they are easily obtained from current electronic component suppliers. We do not , and cannot repair , replace or supply any of these parts , and whilst we do not anticipate problems with peoples kits , once bought they are your responsibility.

We will not exchange , replace , refund of return any ZX81 Kit , hardware or software sold via this site , all items are in as described condition when they leave us and are sold on , an as seen basis , but if we say they are working they are working !

We are not responsible for for any damage or loss during delivery , we of course would assist in any claim should it occur , but it is up to you to claim it , we cannot be held responsible for the post offices actions , nor your actions in not be able to have it delivered at your end.

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at anytime without notice , we are happy to share this opportunity with everyone , to own one of these rare , fine vintage computers , but if you have any doubts please do not buy one as we cannot return , or refund on these items , if you do not agree with any of these terms please do not buy from ZX81Kit.Com , thank you for reading these terms and conditions.
